WHO IS CHRIS?
คริส ไรท์ เป็นลูกครึ่งไทยอังกฤษที่เกิดโตในประเทศไทยและก็ได้ไปใช้ชีวิตอยู่ที่ประเทศอังกฤษหลายปี
คุณพ่อของคุณคริสเป็นชาวอังกฤษ (จากเมืองเลสเตอร์ แชมป์พรีเมียร์ลีก 2016) ที่ย้ายมาอยู่เมืองไทยมากว่า 40 ปีและท่านเป็นครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ส่วนคุณแม่เป็นแม่บ้านที่ดูแลลูกอย่างใกล้ชิดและท่านก็เคยเป็นครูสอนภาษาไทยอยู่ช่วงหนึ่ง คริสได้โอกาสไปเรียนในโรงเรียนนานาชาติในประเทศไทยหลายโรงเรียนเข่น Bangkok Patana School (BPS), Ruamrudee International School (RIS), Mahidol University International College (MUIC) ซึ่งจากการได้ถูกเลี้ยงดูและเติบโตในครอบครัวและสังคมที่มีความแตกต่างทางภาษาและวัฒนธรรมจึงทำให้คริสสนใจเรื่องของการเรียนการสอนภาษาโดยเฉพาะภาษาอังกฤษ (TEFL) Teaching English as a Foreign Language รวมถึงวัฒนธรรมข้ามชาติ Cross-Cultural Communication and Management
Chris Wright was born and raised in Thailand to an English father (from Leicester, Premier League Champions in 2016) who’s an English teacher, and a Thai mother who was a housewife who took care of him closely as was also a part-time Thai teacher a long time ago. He studied at some of the top international schools in Thailand (Bangkok Patana, Ruamrudee, and Mahidol International) and also lived and took many short courses in England such as TEFL (Teaching English as a Foreign Language) and Cross-Cultural Communication and Management. He was brought up in a language teaching family and also a multi-cultural society which exposed him to so much diversity since he was a child. In University and during his time in London, he was particularly interested in language teaching and cross-cultural studies and this, including his life experiences whether it was at school, at home, in Thailand or overseas, enabled him to pursue his career today.

ทุกวันนี้คริสถือเป็นคนที่มีชื่อเสียงที่หลายๆ คนในเมืองไทยรู้จักจากการทำงานและผลงานของเขาใน 10 กว่าปีที่ผ่านมา เขาเริ่มต้นจากการเป็นล่ามและนักแปลรวมถึงครูสอนภาษาอังกฤษตามสถาบันสอนภาษาในห้างและขยับไปเป็นอาจารย์สอนในมหาวิทยาลัยในวิชาต่างๆ เช่น Basic English Communication, Business English Communication, Cross-Cultural Communication and Management, Translation and Interpretation เป็นต้น แต่ที่ทำให้คริสมีชื่อเสียงขึ้นมาก็คือจากหนังสือ Pocketbooks ของเขาที่กลายเป็นหนังสือขายดีเช่น “ภาษาอังกฤษแบบฝรั่งเข้าใจคนไทยเก็ท” และ “ภาษาอังกฤษแค่คริสก็มันส์แล้ว” ซึ่งพูดถึงปัญหาของคนไทยกับการใช้ภาษาอังกฤษ หลังจากนั้นคริสก็ได้โอกาสไปออกรายการดังๆ เช่น เจาะใจ ทไวไลท์โชว์ สาระแน ที่นี่หมอชิต เป็นต้น การให้สัมภาษณ์ของเขาทำให้หลายๆ คนชอบในมุมมองมุกฮาและฝีปากกล้าของเขาจนเขาได้โอกาสทำรายการของตัวเองซึ่งรายการที่ดังที่สุดก็คือ Chris Delivery รายการสอนภาษาอังกฤษตลกเฮฮาผ่านสถานการณ์ต่างๆ ที่ออกทางช่อง 5 คืนวันศุกร์เป็นเวลา 9 ปี รายการ CAT English รายการ Click Mahidol Channel รายการ Movie Language รายการ Daddy Talks และอีกหลายรายการที่ออกทั้งทางทีวีและยูทูบ คริสกำลังจะมีช่อง online ของตัวเองทั้งแบบเรียนฟรีและเป็นบทเรียนเข้มข้นที่ต้องจ่ายเงิน (Chris English Corner / Guan Teen English / English UP2U)
Today Chris is quite a well-known person in Thailand from a lot of his work that he has been doing for the past 10 years. He has been a university teacher teaching subjects from Basic English communication, Business English communication, translation and interpretation, and cross-cultural communication. He worked as a translator and interpreter for a few years in the past and taught English at many leading language institutes in Bangkok. But what made him famous here were some of his Thai pocket books about the problems of Thais learning English, and his comedy talk shows in Thai about the problems of Thais learning English that he did all around the country. He was then invited to be the guest on many TV shows and was finally approached to produce, host and act in his own TV shows, Chris Delivery and CAT English for example which were comedy sketch shows that taught English to Thais from different funny scenarios and situations. He also did a fun English teaching series which could be viewed on Youtube called Click : Mahidol Channel, Movie Language, and Daddy Talks. Chris has some new TV shows coming up such as Chris Jobs : English at Work, Guan Teen English, Speak English Act English, and also a new online learning series called English Up2U.

นอกเหนือจากนั้น คริสยังเป็นเจ้าของและครูใหญ่ของสถาบันสอนภาษาเล็กๆ ของตัวเอง Chris English School ที่เปิดมากว่า 10 ปีแล้วและเน้นสอนภาษาอังกฤษสนุกๆ ที่ใช้ได้จริงในชีวิตประจำวัน คริสเคยทำทอล์คโชว์ใหญ่ของตัวเองมาหลายครั้งที่มีชื่อว่า Chris Unseen และ Chris Talks และเขามีแผนจะทำทอล์คโชว์เป็นภาษาอังกฤษในอนาคตอันใกล้นี้รวมถึงเขียนหนังสือเป็นภาษาอังกฤษเกี่ยวกับการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษและวัฒนธรรมข้ามชาติ คริสยังเป็นนักพูดและวิทยากรสร้างแรงบันดาลใจที่ถูกเชิญโดยองค์กรราชการ เอกชน และโรงเรียนมหาวิทยาลัยทั่วประเทศ และเป็นพิธีกรสองภาษาในงานอีเว้นท์ต่างๆ มากมาย เขาแต่งงานแล้วและมีลูกชายน่ารักสองคน
Other than this, he is also the owner and head-teacher of his own English language institute Chris English School, and has produced other edutainment media such as the Chris Outdoors series, teaching English from fun situations outside, and the Chris Unseen series and Chris Talks series, stand-up comedy talk shows in Thai about Thais learning English and dealing with foreigners. He is planning to do some English stand-up talk shows for the foreign crowd in Thailand in the near future as well as write English books about cross-culture in Thailand for foreigners who live or are planning to work here in Thailand.
Finally, Chris also conducts his own fun motivational seminars both in English and Thai for private and government organizations as well as schools and universities, on topics such as effective English communication and learning, cross-cultural communication and management, and discovering the powers in yourself. He also MCs in English and Thai at many educational and entertaining functions nationwide. He is happily married and has two lovely sons.
